America’s largest fast food factory will soon bring menu changes, according to a Reuters article.  We’ve highlighted some menu details and hidden deals in our Geek Go-To section recently and it is quite ironic that some of these forthcoming changes highlight some of the knowledge we dropped. Either McDonald’s reads the site religiously or we’re just ahead of the game.

First thing first, small fries and small drinks will leave the dollar menu once and for all.  They will be replaced by baked cookies and ice cream cones instead. It only makes sense considering everyone’s favorite way to wash down their meals is with baked goods and desserts.

Next McDonald’s will be debuting a new menu section called the Extra Value Menu.  While there won’t be any actual new items, it feature menu items and deals that have been traditionally hard to locate.  Making the menu easier for the every man to process? Wow, it’s about time Ronald.  The menu will feature the bulk nugget deal of 20 McNuggets for $4.99, Chicken and Angus Snack Wraps, the Double Cheeseburger, Medium Iced Coffee’s, snack sized McFlurries, and even allows up to 4 regional offers to be showcased.  Most of these items are in the $1-$2 range giving customers more recognizable value options.

So let’s get the McDonald’s lingo straight.  There is a Dollar Menu, Extra Value Menu, and Extra Value Meals.  Value city has indeed arrived.
