While Starbucks released a mobile app update earlier this year that allows patron to order their morning caffeine fix so that is ready when they arrive, according to Bloomberg, Dunkin Donuts is following suit. With 124 locations in Portland, Maine being the test market currently, a nationwide release will hopefully be the end game here.
There is also word that Dunkin is also testing a delivery service partnering with DoorDash. 19 locations are test piloting this service which is compatible with coffee, donuts, and sandwiches ordered online. It will be interesting to see if the coffee is still hot when it arrives at your door.
