For awhile now, to lower some consumption of red meat, my wife and I have been buying ground turkey from the grocers to make burgers and tacos among other household dinners. It seems like the fast food world is now taking a similar approach for a lean, all natural burger option. Carl’s Jr. has just released a trio of turkey burgers, all under 500 calories.
All three burgers are priced at $4.49 and can even be custom ordered “naked” to lower calories even more by skipping the bun. Here’s the rundown:
The Original All Natural Turkey Burger: Charbroiled Turkey Patty, special sauce, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on a whole wheat bun (490 cals)
Jalapeno All Natural Turkey Burger: Charbroiled Turkey Patty, spicy Santa Fe Sauce, sliced jalapeno, pepper jack cheese, onion, tomato, and lettuce on a whole wheat bun (500 calories)
Teriyaki All Natural Turkey Burger: Charbroiled Turkey Patty, teriyaki sauce, grilled pineapple, Swiss cheese, onion, tomato, and lettuce on a whole wheat bun (480 cals)
