For the first time since the big visit to Wendy’s HQ, I got a Wendy’s Grilled Chicken Flatbread to test out how the product translates to the QSR. Ordering a sandwich from the drive thru and getting it handed to you by an executive chef at a company’s headquarters can often times create quite a discrepancy. What did we find?

It turns out that Wendy’s did a really good job developing a product that could be administered at the store level. While these flatbreads really aren’t certified “on the go” eats because some of the elements have a tendency to fall out while you’re chomping down, they’re still a solid park and eatable. I have to say that the mixture of spring greens gives this item a premium feel that iceberg couldn’t.

The Asiago, just as I experienced before, was pretty messy, but overall has a great flavor stream. My fiance, who has yet to try these, was very impressed with the flat bread and taste of the club. She’s a pretty tough fast food critic, so I was impressed when she gave the thumbs up. I do have to say that the flatbread wasn’t as crunchy and solid as the ones we had in Dublin, yet they were still world better than the competition. So make sure you go out and try one of these and be sure to tweet it @wendys using the hashtag #twEATfor1k for a chance to win $1,000!
