While Subway has seemed to have begin mailing in national promotions as of late, they seemed to have been quietly testing some moderately creative sandwich toppings in the form of Frito Lay chips. The newest one, being tested in at least the Pittsburgh market is the Buffalo Crunch Sub.
At first glance, this sandwich appears to be the standard Buffalo Chicken Sub from Subway with the additional topping of a few Doritos Cool Ranch Chips. The buffalo chicken consists of Subway’s relatively new revamped, grilled chicken marinated in buffalo, all of the toppings you could want, and then ranch dressing. The addition of some Cool Ranch chips fits the flavor profile and could add some substance with a different texture. We’ll be testing this out to see if it’s anything worthwhile.
