As my journey across the country begins today to the wild and wonderful world of Taco Bell land in Southern California, I have received my finalized itinerary for the event.  One thing has been incredibly clear to me from the get go, Taco Bell is going out their way to treat myself and the fellow bloggers as top of the line citizens.  Every aspect of the event has been handled and been taken care of so everyone has a hassle free, wondrous experience.

In the itinerary, I now know that Taco Bell will be sending a limo service to my residence to pick me up for my trip to the airport.  No more worrying about paying for over priced airport parking, because I’m riding in style to the plane station. The rest of the trip will include driving to and from the airport, hotel, and Taco Bell Headquarters, creating an ideal situation for any traveler, one where all of the schematics are taken care of.  I’ll even be driven home from the airport via limo when I return to the cold, dark northeast.

While I won’t be able to attend due to my long travel day, Taco Bell is even having a dinner for all of the visitors at The Yard House in Irvine.  All I know is that I can’t wait to be immersed in all things Taco Bell.  The Doritos Locos Tacos could very well be the gimmick of the year, and having a sneak peak at it before the general public, has me bubbling over inside.

I’m really interested in seeing the story behind this titanic taco and all of the behind the scenes information that will be revealed.  It’s one thing to slam a few beef blankets into your mouth, but to hear the birthing and implementation of a gimmick all the way to the final product is downright special. And nothing will be comparable to eating a freshly made creation hand delivered from a Taco Bell chef.

Check back later today, and on our Twitter and Facebook accounts to be the first viewers to witness the Doritos Locos Tacos Taco Bell trip as it happens.  For now, take a look at our friends’ Grub Grade and Food Beast’s trip to Taco Bell HQ in 2009 for a sneak peak at what I’ll be in for on Thursday.
