One of the greatest values in fast food is the monthly $4.99 baskets from Popeye’s.  You get a plethora of chicken, fries, and a biscuit for a cool 5 spot.  This consistent value has led to KFC’s $5 Fill Up Box which is direct competition.  This month Popeye’s debuts the Tabasco Spiced Pepper Barrel Chicken tenders.

These hand battered, southern fried tenders are marinated in “white oak-aged Tabasco spices” and are made up of all white meat.  Another great component of these combos is the sauce that is bundled in specifically tuned for the entree.  A Smok’n Pepper Ranch sauce compliments these tenders alongside of fries and a buttermilk biscuit.

We’re coming down to the wire, but this is a strong contender for “Wackiest/Most Difficult To Remember Named” product of the year.
