While others like Wendy’s have stepped time and time again into the premium realms, McDonald’s has mainly hung back sticking to what they know.  Simple isn’t always better though, so McDonald’s is taking it’s heavily test marketed Signature Crafted sandwiches across the country.  While it still remains to be seen if these sandwiches can be mass produced, let’s take a gander at the options.  

Customers can choose from three different recipes: Pico Guacamole, Sweet BBQ Bacon, or Maple Bacon Dijon. Pico Guacamole features well pico and guacamole, onions, lime, cilantro, white cheddar, and for whatever reason ranch.  Sweet BBQ Bacon features sweet onion BBQ sauce, applewood smoked bacon, grilled and crisps onions, as well as white cheddar.  Maple Bacon Dijon features applewood smoked bacon sprinkled with maple seasoning, creamy Dijon sauce, onions, and white cheddar.  Customers then choose between a 1/4 lb beef patty, crispy chicken, or grilled chicken followed by choosing either an artisan roll or classic sesame seed bun.  Calories from these sandwiches range from 470 (Grilled Chicken Pico Guacamole) to 800 calories (Crispy Chicken Sweet BBQ Bacon).
