Today KFC announced that they’re going all in on quality, in an attempt to change perceptions and notions that their food has lost its way. Called the “Re-Colonelization” of it’s food, the project is centered around retraining employees and a new taste guarantee. Over the last 6 months, KFC has invested over 100,000 hours of training time to over 20,000 employees, focusing on the 25 minute process of crafting the Original Recipe chicken.
The Colonel Taste Guarantee now protects customers, showing that KFC is standing firmly behind their changes. Customers not satisfied with a particular aspect of their meal, can have it remade for them so they leave happy. This project KFC’s continued effort to improve quality that has seen massive store renovations, kitchen equipment upgrades, and new products such as the Nashville Hot Chicken.
