As they have done the last couple of years, Subway has decided to bring back $5 Footlongs for the month of February.  Strategically choosing the shortest month of the year as their annual monthly sale is quite crafty for their bottom line, but with Leap Year adding another day and befuddling this strategy, this deal seems that much more legit!
While AnyTober swept the nation earlier this year during October, as an unexpected month of footlong fun, it seems as though many Subway employees know that this February madness has become a longstanding tradition.  With two months’ names already being reinvented and reinvigorated with the word “any” it still remains to be seen if Subway will continue this pattern with months like Anyvember or Jany.

So with any Subway footlong is going for $5, except for premium subs such as the Big Philly Cheesesteak, what are the best sandwiches to be had for this stunning price? We’d like to recommend a couple for you readers.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Melt:

While not the healthiest choice around, with 570 calories and 28 grams of fat in just 6 inches, the CBR is quite possibly Subway’s best tasting offering.  Bacon, cheese, chicken, and ranch are quite a combination when teamed up and they come together quite well on this melt.
Subway Club:

Most likely my favorite sub, is the Club.  Packing on turkey, ham, and roast beef, eaters will get their meat fix while not needing their stretchy pants from the dry cleaners.  With only 310 cals and 4.5 grams of fat per 6 inch, you’ll be full and not suffer from a guilty conscious after downing this bad boy.  Try the spicy brown mustard for a burst of flavor while not adding many calories.

Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki:

An original gimmick sandwich that made it to the big time, the sweet and sassy Asian infused option has been a fan favorite for quite some time.  With marinated teriyaki flavored chicken and a tangy onion sauce that will make your head spin, and only 380 calories and 4.5 grams of fat per six inches this sub will satisfy most and delight even more.
Without a Sub of the Month during February, and leaving us without something to truly review, these are your best bets this month.  So if you’ve got $5, and you’re wicked hungry, take on these tasty yumrockets.  Enjoy
