For the longest time, in a predictable fashion, Subway has released a $5 Footlong Special for each month.  The world was round, the sun came up, and things were in order.  Now, to throw a curve ball, it appears as though that model is dead.  Ushered in is a $3 Six-Inch Select and $6 Footlong Special.  We probably should have seen this coming after Februany didn’t include all regular subs this year.

So now here we are in March 2013, in a brand new world, with the Oven Roasted Chicken sandwich 6 inch being offered for only $3.  We here at FFG love this concept.  Portion control with fast food is huge and only getting a 6 inch is the healthy way to go at Subway.  With this sub having only 320 cals, 5 grams of fat, and packing in 23 grams of protein, if you skip the cheese.  Plus only spending $3 for lunch is a pretty novel idea, considering this 6 inch would typically cost over $4.
The Buffalo Chicken is a pretty tasty and tangy sub.  The sub usually goes for $6.50 or $6.75 depending on the Subway you frequent, so $6 is decent deal.  Not exactly for the diet friendly, the footlong will cost you 840 calories and 30 grams of fat if you get ranch.
Happy Eats for March at Subway!
