As I embark on the Atkin’s Diet for the first time, I am going to be seeking out fast food menu items that can be Atkins Friendly, or can be modified to fit the diet.

Yesterday I strolled into Wendy’s in need of some mid day energy, and ordered myself the BLT Cobb Salad. At 9 Net Carbs this thing fits perfectly into my Atkins plan.

At first glance this thing was LOADED with toppings. Tons of chicken, hardboiled egg, bleu cheese crumbles, tomatoes, and lettuce. The bacon was quite sizeable too, however I would have preferred it to be chopped up not just laid across the top.

The salad was fresh. The mixed greens gave it great flavor and substance, and the Avocado Ranch Dressing put it over the top. I housed this thing in about 10 minutes and was definitely satisfied.
