One of the perks of my job is that I get to travel into areas that are home to fast food chains not available in Western Pennsylvania. On my recent trek to Canton/Akron, OH I had the pleasure of getting my first experience at Hardee’s.
I’ve seen the commercials on TV, and marveled at their blatant disregard for health concerns. Their $6 Dollar ThickBurger packs a punch in the pants. This behemoth contains onion straws, crumbled bleu cheese, Lettuce and Toms, Swiss cheese, BBQ Sauce and a 2/3lb patty. Anyone one who knows me, knows Bleu Cheese is a freeway to my heart.
Biting in, the first thing I noticed was the amazing flavor of the crumbled mixed with the zesty smoky bbq sauce. They patty was a little overcooked, but the sandwich came together pretty well. The bun was kind of old and began to crumble as I trudged through this cholesterol cavern.
Sliding through my inerds w 1170 Calories and 83 grams of fat… I dont recommend this for daily consumption, but it is quite tasty.
